DIVORCE AND WORKER’S COMPENSATION PAYMENTS IN THE FUTURE
The Michigan Court of Appeals has decided that future worker’s compensation benefits are NOT marital assets to be divided in a divorce. Cunningham v. Cunningham, 289 Mich App 189; 795 NW2d 826 (2010) Future payments are considered in a claim for spousal support.
